2. Artist Check In Artist Check In Info
Located at 601 W GROVE ST // The Basque Center  // 2nd floor
The rockers need to check in at Artist Check In to collect their festival and Artist Lounge wristbands. Hours are limited so check them now against your schedule.

WEDNESDAY 3/25 • 12PM – 8PM
THURSDAY 3/26 • 11:30AM – 10:30PM
FRIDAY 3/27 • 11:30AM – 10:30PM
SATURDAY 3/28 • 11:30AM – 10:30PM
SUNDAY 3/29 • 12PM – 4PM*

IMPORTANT: DO NOT MESS THIS UP. SERIOUSLY.
The rockers will receive free festival wristbands as well as artist lounge wristbands.
Parents and siblings will get their festival passes from the Treefort Box Office.

A) THE WRISTBANDS ARE FOR THE ROCKERS NOT FOR PARENTS OR SIBLINGS. DON’T TAKE THEM!
B) YOUR ROCKER SHOULD TAKE THEIR WRISTBANDS AND ONLY THEIR WRISTBANDS, THEN LEAVE THE REST, REGARDLESS OF WHAT THE (most likely teenage) TF STAFF TELL YOU. (Wristbands go on rockers’ left wrists.)
C) IF YOUR ROCKER IS THE LAST ROCKER TO COLLECT THEIR WRISTBAND THEY CAN TAKE THE PACKET OF SCHWAG AND THEN TEXT ME:
“Brian, all members of _________ have checked in.”

3. Family Tickets / Wristbands
Can be picked up @ Treefort Box Office inside Julia Davis Park (Main Stage).

4. Artist LoungeArtist Lounge Info
Located at 601 W GROVE ST The Basque Center (basement)

Your rocker can go in, you can’t. Suck on that. Don’t stress, it's pretty tame, but you should remind your rocker to not be an asshole while in there. You never know who you might run into in the artists lounge, it’s open to all performers including the main stage acts. It’s a great opportunity for our rockers to connect with other bands and players.

Spotify Tracks
Treefort 2026 Playlist
I suggest playing this list on random, making your own Selects playlist, and capturing the bands you like as they come up. It makes a big difference if you show up to the festival prepared.

BG Treefort 2026 Picks Playlist
I’ll have yet to begin really digging into this, but I’ll be updating this list regularly and throughout the festival as I find bands I like.

RBL Bands Spotify Pages
Share these pages with everyone you know and encourage them to listen. Higher numbers will help sway folks to attend our rockers’ shows.

con’spiracy - New song posted.
R.U.K.U.S. - New song posted.
El Kabong - New EP posted
Thorn - New EP posted.
CHILD - New full length album posted.

Communication
All communication with the festival will go through me, Brian. Period. If you have an issue, connect with me and I will get it sorted out. Do not contact the festival directly for any RBL related matters. Thank you.

Parent Info Share // Free Range Kids
I do encourage you to share your info now on the Treefort 2026 Parent Info Share sheet. This is a unique opportunity for our kids, especially the younger ones, to enjoy more autonomy than they are used to in SF. You might need to connect with a certain rocker’s parents to find your kid and vice versa. It’s also good to have everyone’s number in case you want to invite someone to a show.

We’ll all be there helping keep an eye on each other’s rockers, and obviously you can always count on me if your rocker needs anything while out and about. Please make sure they have my number (415-606-8771).

If you aren’t sure of who’s who and want to connect with certain parents, I encourage you to reach out to folks via email before we leave and to meet folks at the Prefort show @ RBL on Sunday, March 22. Here again is the Prefort Schedule.

Promo Postcards
Prior to leaving, rockers were postcards to promote their showcase shows. They are expected to bring them to Boise and to distribute all of them. Yes, that means getting off their phones, talking to strangers, meeting other players, and putting themselves out there. Distributing the cards and meeting folks face-to-face works in getting a larger audience out to the shows.

Expectation of Behaviors
I expect our rockers to have an absolute blast while always being respectful of this opportunity, our hosts, the other bands, festival goers, and Boise. Please remind your rockers that they are not just representing RBL and themselves while in Boise, they are also representing all the future rockers who might be lucky enough to have this opportunity one day.

Please also remind your rockers, especially our older rockers, and extra especially the older rockers who I know engage in “adult” activities, that I always find out about EVERYTHING that happens at TF among our crew. I will of course talk to the rockers directly before we go, but when you talk with them, please say in your own words, “Have buckets of fun and don’t be an idiot.”

I have maintained a stellar relationship with the festival for 14 years and intend to continue this for as many years as they will have us. I promise you I will not go easy on anyone who messes with this opportunity for RBL, including, if need be, removing rockers from their band while at the festival.

PRO TIPS

  • Schedule
Before leaving for Boise fill out your TF schedule on the app. It makes a huge difference to have a plan and some options, especially in the later hours, and when you are hanging out with folks who can’t make up their damn minds.

  • Weather
We’ve been to TF during snowstorms, rainstorms, and with gloriously warm and clear weather. Keep an eye on the forecast before we go. The rockers will most definitely be out roaming at night, make sure they have a warm jacket.

The Main Stage & The Bandshell are outside in grassy areas. On Saturday we’ll be on the Bandshell grass for 4-5 hours. A few years ago it was muddy as hell. Bring the right gear / shoes.

  • Look Out For One Another
We’ll all be out and about and bumping into one another throughout the trip. Please encourage your rockers to include other rockers around them who might not have as large of a friend group, or if they see them out and about on their own. The same goes for us adults. Most of us are just as awkward as the kids, many folks have social anxieties and aren’t that skilled at integrating themselves, but everybody likes to play. Invite other parents you see to join you while you wander. It’s easy and can make a huge difference in their experience.

You are all welcome to join me wherever I go while I’m out and about at shows. Fair warning: I don’t stay anywhere if I’m not digging the music, regardless of who or how many people are with me. You will be welcome to leave with me, but there will be too much great music happening to waste time on anything that isn’t really good.

  • Earplugs
Get a pair and keep them with you. Same for your rockers. At RBL they are in the habit of throwing them out after one use. You can easily use one pair for the entire festival and your rockers should plan on that as we won’t have enough for them to go through like tissues.

  • Instrument Drop Off
We can drive everyone’s gear to and from the festival. Rockers will be instructed the week prior to TF on the plan for leaving their instruments at the castle before the trip — basically they will leave their gear with us after the Prefort show. If for some reason they don’t leave their gear, you’ll need to get it to us on Monday, March 23 when we will be loading the van. I will be driving on Tuesday.

  • Tin Cups & Tokens
Drinking at TF can be annoying. For many venues you have to purchase a stupid tin cup (wait in line) and get tokens (another line). Just accept it and focus on having fun or lean into other means of getting your adult buzz on.

  • Donating To Boise Rock School
Boise Rock School has been a champion of RBL for years. Their support of our rockers and willingness to set up a warm-up show makes a huge difference in alleviating nerves and giving our rockers a chance to work out the kinks in their sets before their showcase shows. At the end of the trip I will ask all families to make a small donation to BRS ($25 per rocker) as a small token of our sincere appreciation.

We are so psyched for this trip and I can not wait to see the rockers crush it in Boise.
