NEW TO RBL?
RBL offers band / creative experiences for rockers and artists ages 6 - 80. We focus on creating original songs, stories, and videos (UGLY BABY). RBL is the home for weirdos.
ROCK OUT - Ages 6 - 11 - For complete beginners and for players who are building their chops and eager to learn the RBL culture. In each session of RO players will help write an original song and story, learn the song on the instrument of their choosing, record their vocals, and put on a mind-blowing show.
ADVANCED ROCK OUT - Ages 9 - 14 - ADV RO is for rockers who are serious about learning an instrument, dedicated to being in a band, and creating with others. ADV RO band members are selected by RBL staff in the spring and summer for the bands to begin in the fall and remain intact for a minimum of 1 school year. Rock Out or RBL Summer are required before a rocker can be considered for ADV RO.
RBL SUPERGROUPS - Ages 11 - 18 - RBL SPRGRPSs are for rockers who have proven themselves as dedicated players in an ADV RO band, want to level up significantly, and who love the band and RBL experience. These players meet twice per week, gig, tour, record, and become monster players. ADV RO is the required step before a RBL rocker can be considered for a RBL Supergroup. See El Kabong video.
DIY or DIE - Ages 14 - 18 - These are our highest level bands in which rockers manage all the aspects of their band’s (rehearsals, songwriting, recording, booking, gigging, etc…) with mentorship from RBL’s pro staff. Being in a RBL SPRGRP is the required step before a RBL rocker can be considered for a DIY or DIE project. See CHILD video for an example.
Elder Rock Out (Drums / Guitar, or Bass) — Ages 35 - 85 -ERO for any fun-loving adult who ever wanted to play an instrument or who played once upon a time and wants to get back into it . Sense of humor required, but no experience necessary.
UGLY BABY Makers - Ages 9 - 14 / UGLY BABY is RBL’s YouTube show and UGLY BABY Makers is for every funny, weird kid out there who loves to take wild ideas, bring them to life, and deliver them like little (ugly) media babies to screens and devices around the planet. In UB Makers young artists will help conceive and storyboard bit concepts, they’ll write, produce and star in sketches, bits, and random comedy-based video pieces, they will have opportunities to work behind the scenes, and to help with the many post-production projects.
