Have fun. Be cool. Rock Out. Make UGLY BABY.

San Francisco's rock music school and camp for kids ages 6–18 (and adults who never stopped wanting to play). Real instruments, original songs, live shows.

A kid can grow with us from age 6 to 18.

Most music programs hand you back a kid who learned three chords. Ours hand you back a touring teenager. Here's the path.

Advanced Rock Out · Ages 9–14 Real bands that stay together for at least a school year. Selected by RBL staff.

Rock Out · Ages 6–11 Form a band. Write a song. Play it live. Welcome to the world.

DIY or DIE · Ages 14–18 Our highest level. Bands that book, record, and run their own show with RBL pro mentorship.

RBL Supergroups · Ages 11–18 Twice-weekly practice. Gigs. Tours. Recording. The serious stuff.

Rock Out

Ages 6–11 · Form a band, write a song, perform live. Free pickup from select SF schools.

RBL Summer

Ages 6–14 · Two-week summer sessions of rock music, art, improv comedy, and the most fun your kid will have all year.

Advanced Rock Out

Ages 9–14 · For kids serious about an instrument and committed to a real band. Bands stay together a full school year.

Ugly Baby Makers

Ages 9–14 · For kids who'd rather make weird videos than play guitar. Write, star in, and produce sketches for our YouTube show.

Day Camps

Ages 6–11 · School closure? PD day? Holiday week? We've got a one-day rock camp for that.

Elder Rock Out

Ages 35–85 · Adults only. Drums, guitar, or bass. Whether you played in a basement at 17 or never picked up an instrument, you're welcome.

Don't take our word for it.

"I don’t know what their secret sauce is, but RBL maintains a bonkers sense of humor while remaining enthusiastically focused on nurturing the campers. Our kid came out of their week more confident, mature, creative and willing to try new things. Also exhausted and happy. I wish I could go to RBL! (Pro tip: They have adult Rock Out classes.)" — Rebekah S., RBL mom

“After I picked up my child, on the first day she turned to me and said, ‘This was the best day of my life.’” - Courtney C.

"Rock Band Land has been a gift for our son and our family. He has developed confidence, a passionate love and knowledge of music, impressive music chops and life skills. I can't say enough positive things about the creativity, the commitment and the incredible staff." — Tracy B., RBL mom
